Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30/08/2026

The Blink Decision Company Limited ("we," "us," or "our") operates the RingLaw brand and provides AI-powered voice agent services to professional services firms in Canada.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website at ringlaw.ca, through our marketing communications, and through our sales and business development activities (together, the "Site").

This policy covers visitors to our Site. It does not cover personal information that we process on behalf of our clients when our voice agents handle calls for them. In those cases our client is the organization accountable for that information, and our handling of it is governed by our written agreement with that client. See the Information we process for our clients section below.

1. Personal information we collect

1.1 Information you provide to us

Contact and inquiry information. When you submit a demo request or contact form, we collect your name, business email address, phone number, firm or business name, professional role, and anything you choose to write in the message field.
Marketing subscription information. If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address, your name where you provide it, and a record of your consent, including the date, time, and the form or page through which you subscribed.
Communications. We keep records of our correspondence with you, including emails, form submissions, and notes from sales calls or meetings.
Marketing preferences. Your choices about receiving communications from us, and information about how you interact with those communications.

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

Device and technical information, such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, language settings, and approximate location derived from IP address (typically city or region level).
Usage information, such as the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the page that referred you to the Site, the paths you take between pages, and the dates and times of your visits.
Email engagement information. Our marketing emails may contain small embedded images, sometimes called pixel tags or clear GIFs, that tell us whether you opened the message and whether you clicked links within it.

We do not collect payment information, government identification numbers, financial account details, or sensitive personal information through the Site. No purchases can be made on the Site.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed for it to function. Our website host, Framer, provides built-in visitor statistics that do not use cookies. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Site function. Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals; there is no common standard for interpreting them, and we do not currently respond to them.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

3.1 Responding to you. To answer your inquiries, arrange and conduct product demonstrations, provide quotes, and communicate with you about a potential business relationship.

3.2 Marketing. To send you newsletters, product updates, and other marketing communications where you have consented to receive them or where we are otherwise permitted to send them under Canadian anti-spam legislation, and to measure engagement with those communications.

3.3 Analytics. To understand which marketing channels are effective and to analyze how the Site is used so we can improve it.

3.4 Business operations and improvement. To develop and improve our services, to maintain business records, and to understand the needs of the markets we serve.

3.5 Security and integrity. To protect the Site against fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and technical problems.

3.6 Legal and compliance. To comply with applicable laws and lawful requests, to establish or defend legal claims, and to enforce our agreements and the terms governing the Site.

We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, and use or share that information for any lawful business purpose. We do not attempt to re-identify such information.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use information collected through the Site to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Consent

We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, except where the law permits or requires us to do otherwise.

By submitting a form on the Site, you consent to our using the information you provide to respond to your inquiry. Where we rely on your consent to send you marketing communications, that consent is obtained separately at the point of subscription, and you may withdraw it at any time as described below.

You may withdraw your consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may mean we are unable to respond to your inquiry or provide certain services. To withdraw consent, contact us using the details in the How to contact us section.

5. How we share personal information

We do not sell personal information. We share it in the following circumstances:

5.1 Service providers. We use third parties to operate our business and the Site. Each is authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us, and each is bound by contractual obligations to protect it. Our principal service providers are:

5.2 Professional advisors. Lawyers, accountants, auditors, bankers, and insurers, in the course of the services they provide to us.

5.3 Authorities and others. Law enforcement, government authorities, regulators, and other parties where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to comply with the law, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.

5.4 Business transactions. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, reorganization, insolvency, or similar transaction, personal information may be disclosed to the parties involved and their advisors, and may be transferred as a business asset. We will take reasonable steps to ensure any recipient continues to protect the information in a manner consistent with this policy.

6. Storage outside Canada

Several of our service providers store and process personal information in the United States and potentially in other countries.

This means your personal information may be accessible to law enforcement, courts, regulators, and national security authorities in those countries under their applicable laws, and those laws may differ from Canadian law. We remain accountable for personal information transferred to our service providers and use contractual and other means to require a comparable level of protection while it is in their hands.

If you have questions about our practices regarding the storage of personal information outside Canada, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below.

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.

In general, we retain contact and inquiry information for 24 months following your last interaction with us, after which it is deleted or anonymized. We retain records of consent for marketing communications for as long as we send you those communications and for 5 years after you unsubscribe, so that we can demonstrate compliance with Canadian anti-spam legislation. Where we are required to keep records for legal, tax, or accounting purposes, we retain them for the period required by the applicable law.

8. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls, encryption of data in transit, restricted administrative access, and vendor selection criteria that include security practices.

No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure. While we work to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee its security.

9. Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:

9.1 Access. Request access to the personal information we hold about you, along with information about how it has been used and to whom it has been disclosed. We will respond within 30 days, or notify you if we require an extension permitted by law. In limited circumstances set out in legislation, we may be unable to provide access, in which case we will explain why.

9.2 Correction. Ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

9.3 Withdraw consent. Withdraw your consent to our use of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual restrictions.

9.4 Unsubscribe. Opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send, or by contacting us directly. We will process your request promptly and in any event within 10 business days. You may continue to receive non-marketing messages relating to an active inquiry or business relationship.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

9.5 Complaints. If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada:

10. Information we process for our clients

Our voice agents answer calls on behalf of our clients. In doing so we may process information about callers, including their names, contact details, the reason for their call, and recordings or transcripts of the call.

For that information, our client is the organization accountable to the caller, and our client is responsible for providing notice to callers and obtaining any required consent. We act as a service provider and process that information only on our client's instructions and as set out in our written agreement with them.

If you are a caller who has interacted with one of our voice agents and you wish to access, correct, or delete information about that call, please contact the business you called. If you contact us directly, we will refer your request to that business.

11. Other sites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and linking to them is not an endorsement. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any site you visit.

12. Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through the Site. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will provide additional notice by emailing subscribers. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect indicates your acknowledgement of the updated policy.
